![]() ![]() I should have bought a server based DVR but I am stuck with this. I'm now doing back-ups for a week by USB which only seems to recognize 2GB from, so I'm stuck with 2GB back-ups. They said are you sure the MAC address is correct on both the DVR and Switches. ![]() Recently without any changes to the network (although i plan to do some) the stream from the DVR has stopped, I have tried to re-configure it. Anyways, at first you could access the DVR's stream and watch the cameras live and remotely as well as backing up remotely. It is running a linux firmware which should work because I have linux workstations on the networks as well as virtual linux servers which run perfectly fine, I am however using windows as the main os. The device is pinging and spiceworks can recognise it by ip address, MAC address and serial number but not anything else such as brand. I have added the MAC address of the device to the mac address filtering page on the switches / routers. I have a Swann DVR9 Securanet 9 Channel DVR for my CCTV, it is configured with a MAC address and an IP address (192.168.2.123) and is running on port 80 because of my firewall settings. ![]()
